Dr. Elford Rawls-Dill is a life-long learner. Over the last 23 years, Dr. Rawls-Dill has devoted his life to teaching, mentoring, coaching, and leading both students and staff in the New Jersey private and public-school sector.  Dr. Rawls-Dill has successfully led the charge to increase culturally responsive educational practices in the school & community setting. With an anti-racist mindset, Dr. Rawls-Dill has worked diligently to research and implement equitable educational practices designed to positively impact the experiences of marginalized groups in schools.

In addition, as a school principal and district administrator, he has worked to formalize curriculum implementation with a high level of fidelity.  During his school administrative tenure, he has successfully led student-centered educational reforms replete with rigorous academic standards and relevant 21st Century learning models designed to enhance the learning experiences for all students.  In addition to curriculum design, Dr. Rawls-Dill has also served as a mentor to students, teachers, and his fellow administrators.

Elford received his baccalaureate degree in English Literature and has worked as an English teacher in grades 6th-12th in the public-school sector. His commitment to student agency and student voice helped him to create learning communities replete with social justice, student empowerment, and rigorous academic standards.

He received both his Masters degree and his doctoral degree in Educational Leadership and has been trained in curriculum construction, education policy, community development, and staff development. His approach to educational leadership can be described as inclusive and transformational. He has worked in the Public and Non-Public sector as an educational leader. His research interest includes educational equity, youth mentorship, leadership development, and community engagement.

Elford has been recognized for his commitment to education and student transformation. He has had a long history of creating positive change in all the spaces he has worked. His awards include National and local achievement awards from various institutions. Dr. Elford Rawls-Dill enjoys reading, researching, gaming, and podcasting. Elford lives in Tinton Falls, NJ, with his wife Tiffany, and his daughter Laila, and son, Elford Rawls-Dill, Jr.
